Manoj Bajpayee – Naseeruddin Shah to come together for a TV show? Here’s the truth…

After succeeding in the film industry, a lot of B-town actors have tried their hand at television shows. While some bigwigs have hosted reality game shows in the past, several have even appeared on TV soap operas. From Soni Razdan to Sanjay Kapoor, we have seen many celebs being part of interesting TV shows. And now it is being reported that Padma Shri Manoj Bajpayee will also be starring in a show along with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah. Media reports also claim that Mahesh Bhatt will be the one presenting the show to the audience. Three mavericks from the film industry, coming together for a project on the small screen does sound very exciting, no?

The show that we are talking about is apparently titled Jannat and will be a Gurudev Bhalla Production. What is also being said is that the show’s concept will be based on the life of Maa Anand Sheela and Osho Rajneesh. But before you all get excited, let us tell you that this piece of news isn’t true. Yes, when we contacted the channel to verify the information, a spokesperson told us, “There is no truth to this story. As of now, we don’t know anything, no official news has come in. So we cannot comment on it.” Even Manoj Bajpayee’s manager denied the reports and said, “There is no such show or offer that has come the actor’s way.”

Anyway, coming back to the two actors, Naseer sahab was last seen in a web show called Zero KMS which aired on ZEE5. The 69-year-old actor will next be seen in The Tashkent Files which is a biographical thriller based on the death of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shashtri.
