Mental Hai Kya starring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao has been making news for several reasons including for the controversy surrounding its title. We had exclusively told you that the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) had written to the Central Board of Film and Certification (CBFC) and expressed their disregard for the film’s title. Post this, the team of the film including Kangana met the federation and after much persuasion have now decided to make slight changes in the title.
Talking about the same Kangana said, “Well we feel that if the word ‘Mental’ is removed from the title of the film, the film might lose its essence. We hope to find a solution to this mutually. Right now I am looking forward to what the board has to say about the film before they make any decisions about the title.”
The IPS Board and CBFC Board saw the film and suggested a few changes. Kangana revealed, “There will be a small change in the title of the film. The board is finding it too harsh. We are more than happy to do that. Other than that, there are absolutely no cuts and they were thrilled to see the film.” Well, that is some good news, right?
The team of Mental Hai Kya will soon reveal the new titled of the film. Till then, stay tuned to CineBlitz for more news and updates.
