Mimicry Artists Fraternity Led By Johny Lever To Pay Tribute To Famous stand up comedian, film actor and mimicry artist, Shri Madhav Moghe, who passed away unexpectedly, a few days ago. He spent almost 40 years of his life, entertaining and making people laugh. A Shradhanjali sabha has been organised by Johnny Lever, to honour, this well known artist.
Johnny Lever is the founder member and President of a trust dedicated to mimicry artists and stand up comedians. The late Shri Madhav Moghe was it’s secretary. Johnny Lever took the lead in organising this Shradhanjali under the aegis of this trust which has been established for the growth of mimicry and stand up comedians. Johnny Lever who is busy entertaining and making people around him laugh, becomes overcome with emotion, when he remembers Shri Moghe.
Madhav Moghe began his stint in the world of mimicry with ‘Melody Makers’. This was the golden period of orchestra music in India. His association with the Melody Makers Orchestra continued thereafter and he traveled the world with their troupe, with all the most famous play back singers. Along with his travels all abroad he acted in many films like Damini and Ghatak. His mimicry of Sanjeev Kumar from ‘Sholay’ in comedy serials is unforgettable.
This Shradhanjali sabha is going to be held in Kelavani Mandal’s Santokba Hall, adjoining Bhaidas Sabhagruha, on 26th July 2021. Shri Johnny Lever, famous actor and Stand up comedian, Play back Singer Shri Sudesh Bhosale, famous Stand up comedians Shri Raju Srivastav and Shri Naveen Prabhakar, Producer director Shri Raj kumar Santoshi, Actor director Shri Sachin Pilgaonkar, comedian actor, Shri Tikku Talsaniya will be present to honour the memory of the late Shri Madhav Moghe. As there are restrictions due to the Corona pandemic, the number of invitees for this gathering will be restricted to 50.
