1. How does it feel to be a Guru on Superstar singer season 2?

Being a part of the captain’s panel for Superstar Singer Season 2, one of television’s most popular kids singing reality shows is one of the most incredible experience of my life. I consider myself privileged, and I am obliged to the makers for trusting me to train the budding singing talents. I am glad to have the opportunity to be grooming and nurturing these young singing prodigies along with my fellow Indian Idol finalists who are like my family now. Plus, we have had a great journey together so beginning this new chapter of our lives together is going to be double the fun. Plus, they’re all wonderful artists, so competing with them and the youngsters will be fun.

2. What kind of talent have you come across on the show?

While we thought it would be simple, it was quite difficult for all of us to choose from such a remarkable bunch of kids because they are all amazing and special in their own way. They have a strong feeling of sur and taal at such a young age, which makes their singing exceptional. When I first saw these youngsters, I thought they had some supernatural strength in terms of rapid learning, adaptable skills, and a confident demeanour that would take them a long way. I believe this is a fantastic opportunity for us to learn from and absorb their enthusiasm for music. I’m looking forward to guiding, inspiring, and imparting my knowledge to these young talent so that they can perform at their best on stage.

3. Tell us about your experience sharing the stage with all the three judges?

Himesh Sir, Javed Sir, and Alka Ma’am are the humblest people I’ve ever met with such great talent. They bring such incredible amount of energy, warmth and enthusiasm to the table. I’ve always looked up to them, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to work with them and evolve into a better version of myself. These three renowned music industry legends are not only teachers to our contestants, but also to us.

4. From being an Indian Idol contestant to SSS guru how has your journey been?

Honestly, I have no words to express my feeling. The journey is surreal as it still feels as if I am in a dream. Never in my wildest dream, I imagined to be a captain of such a reputed and loved show. This position as a captain is a blessing for me as I am getting to not only train such talented kids but also enhance my skills as a singer as I get to learn new things from them. I am a firm believer in lifelong learning and that there is always something new to discover. I’ve learned a lot along the way, and I’m hoping to expand my knowledge and grow into a better version of myself in this new chapter of my career. Whenever I look back in time and just recall the journey, my heart fills up with immense joy.

5. Tell us one best thing about the contestants and what newness they have which inspires you the most?

I believe the way these contestants at such a young age have been so dedicated towards their music that it makes me feel even I should put double efforts in bringing the best out of them. They spend hours rehearsing and they enjoy every second of it. Whenever I enter their rehearsal hall, the energy of that place is very different. It takes me back to my childhood and with them, I relive those days. Their hard work, dedication, determination to be a better version of themselves and passion for music inspire me the most each day.

6. Any message that you would like to give to the contestants?

All I want to say to my beloved contestants is that keep working hard and maintain the energy that you all carry. And always remember to keep learning and be consistent with what you do. I believe that each and every contestant is special in their own way and all of them will go a long way. You all are stars for me and I am already a fan!

7. One thing according to you that you feel best describes a Superstar Singer?

I feel the one word that can describe a real Superstar Singer is passionate. At the end of the day, passion is the driving force for anything and everything. So if a contestant is passionate enough towards his/her music then nothing can stop him/her to reach the stars.
