Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin franchise has been quite successful. Since very first season the show has been topping the TRP chart. While the first and third season of show were much talked about, the second season due to some reasons couldn’t fare very well. Arjun Bijlani who was the lead in season 1 of the hit show, spoke up in an interview about what must have gone wrong.
Arjun while talking about what he feels was the problem said, “There is no particular reason. I generally feel it’s how the show connects with the audience. I think Naagin 2 didn’t do that bad also, it did have a good run. Actually, no one was expecting Naagin to come up with a season 2. And obviously, there will be comparisons if both seasons are launched one after the other. People weren’t expecting the second one with a similar concept to do well and somewhere thought that just Naagin 1 was good. But surprisingly for them, when the second season did well, they started getting hooked onto it slowly. By the time the season 3 came up, the audience were all set to accept Naagin 3 just like the first season, I feel.”
He also spoke how the change in lead was a reason people couldn’t connect and might have affected in a way. For more updates and gossip, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
