“Neelanjana, I think you are going to be the next Shreya Ghoshal of our industry,” says Shankar Mahadevan

Zee TV recently returned with its most iconic, longest-running singing reality show that has stayed relevant to music lovers across the country – Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2021. The show started off with a bang and the talented contestants of this season have already managed to impress the audience. However, viewers are in for a special treat this Saturday as legendary actress Asha Parekh will appear as a special guest on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa alongside the judges.

While each contestant impressed the veteran actress during the shoot, it was Neelanjana who set the stage ablaze with her power-packed performance. The young contestant’s rendition of Suno Sajna and Saathiya Nahi Jaana left Asha Parekh mesmerized, so much so that she asked Neelanjana to be her playback singer if she returns to acting.

While complimenting Neelanjana, Asha Parekh mentioned, “I must say that you sang very well, and I enjoyed your performance very much. You have truly done a great job and I feel your voice can fit in any song. I want to add that if I ever start working in films again, I would like you to sing for me and be my playback singer.”

But that’s not it! Judge Shankar Mahadevan was also impressed by her act and compared Neelanjana to the multi-talented singer, Shreya Ghoshal. He added, “I am so proud of you Neelanjana, you sang both the songs beautifully. Everyone knows that there’s one singer who is at the top position in our industry today and that is Shreya Ghoshal. I think you are going to be the next Shreya Ghoshal of our industry. All the best!”
