Netflix’s Swati Shetty becomes the Executive Vice President of Imagine Entertainment, read details

Today, we are happy to tell you that another leading woman has achieved great success. Swati Shetty, who was the Director of International Originals and Acquisition at Netflix, has now become the Executive President of Imagine Entertainment for their International content.

In a media report, Imagine’s Co-chairperson Michael Rosenberg, was quoted saying, “Swati will oversee international opportunities for global content and collaborate with our new divisions, including Documentaries, Kids and Family, Marginal Media and Film and TV.” On joining Imagine Entertainment, Swati Shetty said, “I’m excited and grateful for this opportunity to work with Brian, Ron, Michael, and the fantastic team at Imagine. With a growing appetite for unique content rooted in diverse cultures from around the world, I believe it’s an incredible time for the business of storytelling.”

For those unaware, Swati was the first Indian to be hired in Los Angeles for Netflix. Shetty also has the credit of bagging an exclusive deal with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. She also has an association with Netflix originals like Lust Stories and Sacred Games. She even worked for Balaji Telefilms, Star India, and Walt Disney.
