Hus-Band, Raaja, Baaraat! Kiara Advani’s ‘permanent booking’ with dulha Sidharth Malhotra!

Interesting to note that Sidharth in his acting-debut role, finally gets married to co-star Alia Bhatt on-screen in Student Of The Year (2012)! Eleven years later, Sid is now ‘just married’ in real-life, to yet another Alia, Advani (Kiara that is)!

Interestingly, they exchanged marital vows (never to ‘desert’ each other) at a luxurious royal location billed as ‘the Gateway to the Thar Desert! After all the intriguing suspense, star actors suave princely Sidharth Malhotra and charming Kiara Advani finally tied the nuptial knot in an intimate regal ceremony in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan on Tuesday. The venue was the Suryagarh Palace Hotel.

The exuberant blushing yet glowing dulhan Kiara shared three select images from the nuptial ceremony with the caption, “Ab humari permanent booking hogayi hai. We seek your blessings and love on our journey ahead!” Sidharth shared the same on his social media handle. The famous dialogue line is from Sid and Kiara’s hit patriotic movie Shershaah (2021). Our ‘Jug-jugg Jeeyo’ wishes to both the dulha-dulhan!

The Malhotra-Advani wedding at Jaisalmer’s included celeb Bollywood guests including ’mentor’ Karan Johar Manish Malhotra, Juhi Chawla, and Rohit Shetty among others. A separate grand reception in Mumbai on a Sunday, for the Bollywood fraternity during this month, is apparently also on the cards.

To initiate the wedding festivities, the couple arrived at the luxury hotel–billed as the ‘gateway to the Thar Desert’– with their respective families on Saturday itself. While Sidharth and Kiara continued to maintain a dignified silence about their wedding plans, the family spilled the beans and said they were “excited” for the actors who would be plunging into matrimony.

In fact, the ‘Good Newwz’ (2019) heroine had once mentioned to me in a past media interview that she generally believes in not sharing a super-khush khabri in advance, until it actually happens.

Sidharth and Kiara had always religiously avoided going public with their romantic bonding even as they were spotted going on holidays and attending parties together. They were last seen in Shershaah. The film received positive reviews with special praise for Sidharth and Kiara’s on-screen chemistry. It was based on real life. The patriotic saga of Kargil War martyr-hero army-officer ‘Param Vir Chakra’ Lieutenant-Captain Vikram Batra.

The couple had supposedly first met during the wrap-up party of the 2018 OTT anthology Lust Stories. Kiara had featured in a segment directed by Karan Johar. During her appearance on Koffee with Karan TV talk show last year, Kiara recalled her ‘pehli mulaqaat’ with Sidharth. “Funnily, Sid and I knew each other before we were cast together in Shershaah. We casually met and started chatting at the wrap-up party of Lust Stories. We casually met. I’ll never forget that night,” Kiara had recalled about Sidharth.

On the work front, the OTT-show ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ chulbuli, coquettish heroine Kiara Advani will next be seen in a Telugu Ram Charan-starrer ‘RC-15’ and this Hindi movie Satyaprem Ki Katha (opp. Kartik Aryan). While macho Sidharth Malhotra (cast as a senior IPS police officer) has the Rohit Shetty-directed Amazon web series Indian Police Force in the pipeline.
