While Kangana Ranaut won hearts with her back-to-back outstanding performances in Manikarnika: The Queen of JhansiTanu Weds Manu, QueenSimran among many others, she also made sure to speak against the serious issues that bothered her in the industry. From taking digs at individuals to speaking her mind, the actress made it to the headlines for a lot of reasons. In the midst of success, Kangana landed herself in one too many controversies, but she has been unapologetic about it. Well, currently she is in the news because of her explosive interview in which she revealed how she was asked to pose in just a satin robe for a photoshoot by filmmaker Pahlaj Nihalani.

When we contacted the director to hear his side of the story, he seemed extremely angry and upset about Kangana’s revelations. Calling all her claims lies, he said, “I had spent one-and-a-half crore on that picture advertisement and shot for three songs. She did the reading post the photoshoot, but with my advertisement and the poster she got Mahesh Bhatt’s film (Gangster) and backed out of my film as she requested me to let her do Gangster as we were under a three-movie deal.” Clearly upset, the director further said, “She should not play with me, otherwise I have a lot of things to play with her.”

Kangana, while talking to a tabloid, revealed that the role offered to her was that of a young girl lusting over her middle-aged boss, like a soft porn character. Responding angrily on the same, Nihalani told us, it was never the storyline. “It was a youth film; she was married in that movie. I had approached Amitabh Bachchan for that role. It was on the lines of Cheeni Kum. I gave the narration to Amitji too; he pulled out due to him already doing something similar. It was never a porn film and neither am I interested in those kinds of movies.” For more updates on this front, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
