‘Pehli beti’ RK legacy continues as Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt welcome their baby-girl!

An amazing coincidence perhaps, that for both legendary showman Raj Kapoor’s star-sons Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor. It was a baby-girl arrival the first time their respective star-wives Babita and Neetu delivered their first child viz. Karisma and Riddhima respectively. The ‘pehli-beti’ RK legacy for Kapoor’s sons seems to continue with the gen-now Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt welcoming their bonny baby girl, their first child today, a few hours ago.

The actress arrived at HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, central Mumbai, at 7 am along with her husband star-actor Ranbir Kapoor. Her actress mom Soni Razdan was also spotted arriving at the hospital after them. Later Alia reportedly gave birth to a bonny baby girl at 12:05 pm. Alia Bhatt shared the post on her Instagram handle which read, “And in the best news of our lives: Our baby is here…and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love – blessed and obsessed Parents!!! love love love Alia and Ranbir”.

The made-for-each-other ‘Ra-Lia’ couple got married in April 2002 (this year) in an intimate ceremony at their Mumbai residence and in June, Alia announced her pregnancy on her Instagram handle. Expressing his outburst of sentiments, Alia’s veteran iconic filmmaker father Mahesh Bhatt seemed ecstatic as he exclaimed. “Waiting for a new sun to rise. A fresh sparkling dew drop of life.” The outspoken Bhatt-Saab couldn’t hold his excitement as soon he would be welcoming his first grandchild anytime soon. Mahesh Bhatt excitedly said “Ah, my baby is going to have a baby! I am so happy for Ranbir and Alia. May our ‘tribe’ increase. And now I have to prepare for the most important role of my life: The role of a Grandfather. This is going to be a grand debut.” And now, when finally the big day has arrived.”
