Nitin Kumar Gupta’s film Sayonee Wins Back to Back Awards

After winning Iconic Debut Award at Mid Day International Icon Awards 2021, film Sayonee again picked up the best entertainer award at Filmfare Middle East Achievers Award 2021.

Producer Lucky Morani was there to pick up the award in Dubai, in the absence of director Nitin Kumar Gupta who was filming his latest film ‘Only You’ in Russia at the time.

Filmed in Russia as a musical action thriller, Sayonee features the Iconic Sayonee song sung by Arijit Singh, besides action and cinematography by an ace Russian crew. With a 7.5 rating on imdb and Google reviews, Sayonee proved to be a mass entertainer when it was among the first films to release during the first lockdown in India.

On receiving the awards, director Nitin Kumar Gupta says, “After the positive response from viewers, it feels satisfying to be also recognized by the industry. I have always believed in commercial films, because cinema should be larger than life. It was a proud moment to have been able to present the film in theaters, when everyone else was opting for OTT.”

When asked about his latest, Nitin says,”Only You is an epic romance with fun action elements. We have filmed in different parts of Europe in September and October 2021. It has completely blockbuster elements from horses, limousines, sword fights, castles and gangsters, all wrapped in an epic international romance. It will be a unique cinematic experience!”

Film Sayonee will be available on OTT platforms very soon.
