Notebook directed by National Award winning director Nitin Kakkar is one of the most-anticipated movies lined up for a March release. Set in the beautiful backdrop of Kashmir, the movie stars the debut pairing of Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl and all eyes have been on them ever since the announcements were made. Like we reported earlier Salman Khan who was present at the trailer launch is a big cheerleader for this movie as he is the producer of the film.  Also, Zaheer is his best friend’s son and Pranutan is actor Mohnish Behl’s daughter and the grand-daughter of legendary actress Nutan.

Notebook just dropped another song from its movie and it’s a beautiful track. Titled Laila, the song is picturised on the lead pair Zaheer and Pranutan. Both Pranutan and Zaheer push through powerful emotions in this number, even though they don’t get to share screen time together through it. Through the song, one sees Pranutan reminiscing about Zaheer as she goes by her day. While she expresses through her Notebook, one can see the movie also title Notebook does have a very significant part to play in the movie. Set in the beautiful picturesque backdrop of Kashmir, the cinematography is stunning. Both the newbie actors look like they know what they are doing. This song is a snippet of their remarkable chemistry that speaks to you through the screen in spite of not appearing together throughout the whole song. Pranutan shows some delicate and romantic expressions with such ease and panache, getting us really excited to see the film now.

The love song has been sung by singer Dhvani Bhanushali and the music is composed by Vishal Mishra. Notebook tells a story of an ex-army officer Kabir who becomes a teacher at a school in Kashmir. However, things take an interesting turn when Kabir finds a notebook, left by the previous year’s teacher Firdaus, played by Pranutan. The movie hits theatres on 29 March.
