The Academy Awards is the one of most prestigious events of the year. Today (February 24) is the Oscar Sunday in California and we are stuck to our television sets to see our favourite stars accept the golden Oscar trophy. And looks like Bohemian Rhapsody, a film everyone loved throughout the world, made it big at the Oscars 2019. Winning four out of its five nomination, the film has received the highest number of awards this year.
Bohemian Rhapsody won the Academy Award for Best Actor, Best Sound Mixing, Best Film Editing and Best Sound Editing. We knew that the film had a huge fan base, so we can imagine how happy the world will be right now. Rami Malek won the Oscar in the Best Actor category and he pretty well deserved it for his amazing performance as Freddie Mercury. His character was praised a lot. In fact, he was also appreciated for his dedication to look and act very similar to Freddie. Paul Massey, Tim Cavagin and John Casali won the award for Best Sound Mixing, whereas John Ottman picked up the golden lady in the Best Film Editing category. John Warhurst and Nina Hartstone took home the trophy for the Best Sound Editing.
Bohemian Rhapsody is essentially based on music and has received all the major awards for the same. For all the people who have grown up listening to Queen will be happy today. Bohemian Rhapsody is based on the life of Freddie Mercury and how the band Queen came into existence. It showed us their journey as to how they became a cult and ruled the music industry.
