Lady Gaga is finally an Oscar winner, you guys. This year The Academy Awards were full of surprises and precious moments. The song Shallow from Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s film A Star is Born won the Oscar for Best Original Song, making Gaga one happy lady. But that’s not all. Apart from the Oscar, Shallow ruled the awards season this year and has now achieved the milestone of being the only song with the highest number of awards. Yes, you heard that right. Gaga, 32, has been in the industry for long and it was indeed time for her to take away the golden trophy back home.

Laga Gaga shared the award with co-writer Mark Daniel Ronson, Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt. While receiving the honor, she said, “Thank you so much to the Academy for this wonderful honour. Thank you to every single person in this room. Thank you to Mark Ronson, to Anthony Rossosmando, to Andrew Wyatt my co-writers, I love them so much. To my sister, my soul mate, I love you.” Further, she turned her attention to Bradley Cooper, her co-actor in the film and also the co-singer of the song. She added, “My family is here, I love you mum and dad. Bradley, there is not a single person on the planet that could’ve sung this song with me but you. Thank you for believing in us, thank you so much.”

The 32-year-old, who was in tears, also gave out an inspiring message to all her fans. “If you are at home and sitting on your couch watching this right now, all I have to say is this is hard work. I have worked hard for a long time, and it is not about winning, but it’s about not giving up. If you have a dream, fight for it. There’s a discipline for passion, and it’s not about how many times you get rejected or you fall down or you’re beaten up. It’s about how many times you stand up and are brave and you keep on going.”

Shallow, which is undoudtedly the best song of this year, has won 32 awards in total including the Grammy and The Golden Globe. It’s the highest number of awards any track has ever received, making Shallow one of the most iconic songs of all time.
