It’s Oscar night and California right now is dolled up in all glory. As the winners are announced one after the other the world has its eye on the big event. After several biggies winning at the 91st Academy Awards, Greg Cannom has been announced as the winner in the category of best makeup and hairstyling for the film Vice. While everyone across the world has been raving about his work, looks like a famous celebrity from Bollywood also seems to be ecstatic about this win. Yes, we are talking about Rishi Kapoor!

For those of you who don’t know, Rishi Kapoor went through a massive transformation for the film Kapoor & Sons. The actor was made to look very old and different through the use of makeup and prosthetics. Rurns out that he was fiven the fabulous look by none other than Greg Cannom. As the designer won the prestigious Oscar, Rishi congratulated him. The actor even shared a sneak peek into the makeup process he went through for the film. He put up two tweets, one during the process of transformation and one after it. On the very tweet the actor wrote, “Congratulations Greg Cannom for your fourth Oscar for the film Vice. You did Kapoor & Sons with me. Bravo!” the tweet was supported with the pictures of Greg working his magic. On the second he wrote, “This was the transformation which took 5 hours daily. Kapoor&Sons. Cheers Greg Cannom from all of us. You are a genius!” Looks like Rishi is super happy and so are we!

Greg Cannom, Kate Biscoa and Patricia DeHaney won the Academy Award for makeup and hairstyling for the film Vice. Particularly for transforming Christian Bale into former Vice President Dick Cheney. This is Greg’s 10th Nomination and fourth win, which is surely a huge deal. He has previously won The Academy Awards for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Mrs Doubtfire and Dracula. In 2005, he eve received a Technical Achievement Award for making a special modified silicone material used in makeup.
