The #MeToo controversy broke out late last year. And we have to say we were astound by what we heard. From Nana Patekar to Vikas Bahl and Sajid Khan many of our B-Towners were accused of sexual harassment. Since then, they haven’t been seen much in the public eye. In fact, Sajid was away from the limelight for a long time. So much so that people started wondering where has he disappeared? The filmmaker finally stepped out and made his first public appearance last evening (January 28), months after he faced the sexual harassment allegations.

Sajid was seen arriving at the wedding reception of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray’s son, Amit Thackeray. Dressed in a black kurta and black pyjama along with a striped blue Gandhi jacket, Sajid seemed in a gloomy mood. He didn’t smile, but posed for the camera and photographers. Apart from Sajid; Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Rohit Shetty and several other Bollywood stars were seen arriving for Amit Thackerya’s reception. Talking about the sexual harassment allegations, Saloni Chopra and Rachel White opened up about how Sajid was a predator. Journalist Karishma Upadhyay also revealed her shocking story. But it was Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Bose and Simran Puri’s accounts that were the final string in the case. Ashoke Pandit took up the case with the Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) and he has been suspended for a year. He even lost his director’s chair for Housefull 4.
