In the recent past many big Bollywood stars have taken the surrogacy routes to achieve their goals of a dream family with the help of advanced science. The television Czarina welcomed her first child- Ravie Kapoor(named after her father Jeetendra), a healthy beautiful baby boy through surrogacy on January 27, 2019. Grandparents once again, veteran actor Jeetendra and producer Shobha Kapoor, are both reported to be ecstatic.

# Tusshar Kapoor

Tusshar Kapoor is a single father to son Laksshya, who was born via surrogacy in 2016.  Laksshya is often seen in vidoes on social media at play dates with Taimur Ali Pataudi and Innaya Naumi Khemmu looking cute as hell.

# Karan Johar

Industry’s favourite talk show host and filmmaker Karan Johar surprised the nation when he announced the birth of his cute twins Roohi and Yash Johar via surrogacy in February 2017. Johar had always been very vocal about wanting children and a family of his own. Now we see the three Johars cuddling and being all cute in videos.

# Sunny Leone

Last year (2018) B-Town star Sunny Leone announced the soon-to-be-new additions to her and Daniel Webber little family. India welcomed the birth of twin boys Asher and Noah via surrogacy. She shared the news with her fans on Twitter. She posted, “Just so there is no confusion Asher and Noah are our biological children. We chose surrogacy to complete our family many years ago and it’s now finally complete 🙂 so happy!”

# Aamir Khan

Actor-filmmaker Aamir khan added a beautiful baby boy Azad Rao Khan to his family a couple of years back. Aamir and wife Kiran Rao have spoken about how they wanted to have a child, but their miscarriage left them disheartened for a while. So they opted for the surrogacy route and couldn’t be happier. Aamir has two adult children Junaid and Ira Khan with ex-wife Reema Khan.

# Shah Rukh Khan

King Khan has always made his own rules and lived by them. The megastar and wife Gauri Khan shocked the nation way back in May 2014 when they announced the arrival of their baby boy AbRam.  Back in 2014 surrogacy was not something celebrities would openly talk about. But the couple was praised by fans for publicly announcing the path chosen in getting them to their happy family of five. AbRam has two older siblings – Aryan and Suhana Khan.

The bravery and the courage of our soldiers in the Kargil War 1999, between India and Pakistan, will be forever etched in our hearts. Time and again, Bollywood too has celebrated the spirit of our brave soldiers in their films. While some depict the war, some reflect the effects the war had had on lakhs of lives. Here are five such films that highlight the bravery and sacrifices of our courageous soldiers:

LOC Kargil

LOC Kargil

One of the most remarkable movies based on the Indo-Pak War, the film was released in 2003 and still touches the hearts of the audience. Written and directed by veteran filmmaker JP Dutta, it starred actors like Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Suniel Shetty and Abhishek Bachchan all playing important roles as defence personnel and soldiers. This one was a heartfelt tribute to our jawans and the sacrifices they and their families make for their motherland and is bound to leave you teary-eyed.



Starring Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta, Lakshya was set against the backdrop of the Kargil War. It traces the journey of a young college student realizing his true calling in life as a soldier. This will definitely leave you inspired.

Tango Charlie

Another Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn-starrer, Tango Charlie, written and directed by Mani Shankar, the movie inspired by the Kargil War will leave you highly motivated.



Om Puri and Gul Panag-starrer Dhoop takes a hard look at the effects of war on its citizens and shows a soldier’s family struggling to cope with his death post the war. Inspired by true events from Captain Anuj Nayyar’s life, who was martyred during the war, the movie will win your hearts.

A romantic drama, it has Shahid Kapoor playing an Indian Air Force officer at the time of the Kargil War. It also stars Sonam Kapoor.
