Pyaar Ka Punchnama actress Sonnalli Seygall has entered a new phase in life as she got married to her long-time beau Ashesh L Sajnani on June 7. The couple had an intimate Gurudwara wedding ceremony in Mumbai and were surrounded by their family and loved ones.

Sonnalli and Ashesh have been in a relationship for the last 6.5 years, but the actress kept her personal life away from the media. Ashesh is a hotelier & restaurateur by profession and the couple has known each other for a long time. They had a traditional roka ceremony amongst their families in May, and a traditional Sikh wedding ceremony in a Gurudwara in Mumbai in June.

Sonnalli wore a Manish Malhotra saree for her wedding in blush pink and Ashesh opted for an off white sherwani by Kunal Rawal with a turban matching the colour of her bride’s outfit. The couple looked dreamy as they took the pheras in the Gurudwara. The translation of what every phera meant was shown on a screen so that everyone could understand what they meant.

Sonnalli made her bridal entry on the song she had always envisioned and much to her delight, it is a part of Pakki Gurbani. The theme of the wedding was kept in the tones of pink and green as they are the colours of the heart chakras. Even the invites were in pale pink and pale green keeping in sync with the wedding’s theme.

Taking about this new phase of life, Sonnalli says, “Ashesh and I were very sure about this one thing that we wanted a very simple wedding with people who mean something to us. It’s a very private moment for us and hence we chose to have our wedding in a Gurudwara. It is what both our mothers wanted and we feel glad that we could do it for them. We really look forward to exploring this new phase of our life together.”
