Mumbai Police’s annual function, Umang 2019, was one helluva show. Like always, Bollywood celebrities were seen arriving for the event. In fact, the bevy of stars that came this year was surprising. From the likes of Shraddha Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh to Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, came for Umang 2019. And surely, they turned it into a starry night. Not only by their presence, but their glitzy performances, B-towners turned up the heat at the event.
While Katrina Kaif danced to several of her dance numbers, Ranveer Singh was in Simmba mode. Akshay Kumar too, channelised his Sooryavanshi character and entered the stage on a police bike. Shah Rukh, Ranbir also joined Alia’s performance and took our breath away. In fact, RK and SRK’s chat on the Umang 2019 stage cannot be missed. Sushant Singh Rajput, Rajkummar Rao were also impressive with their acts. But it was Amitabh’s speech, in that deep baritone, that captivated one and all. Umang 2019 was hosted by Maniesh Paul. Coming back to the stars, Aamir Khan, Raveena Tandon, Anil Kapoor, Dharmendra and several others also made appearances. And while Vaani Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu stepped out in style, Shaan and Arijit Singh mesmerised one and all with their songs.
