Planet Marathi’s ‘Planet Goem’ super app is ready for Goans

After winning the distinction of being the first Marathi OTT platform, ‘Planet Marathi OTT’ is now bringing something exciting to its audience. Planet Marathi, which has always been providing creative content to its audience, has now come up with a new, entertaining and informative app. This app is specially made for Goa. The name of this super app is ‘Planet Goem’ and it will provide entertainment and reliable information about Goa. Recently ‘Planet Goem’ was unveiled by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa state Dr. Pramod Sawant. Planet Marathi has come up with the concept in collaboration with ESG (Entertainment Society of Goa). The idea behind this concept is that of Akshay Bardapurkar and Soumya Vilekar and Gautam Thakkar are the inspiration. Santosh Kher is the sponsor. In celebration of this day, an agreement was signed between ESG (Entertainment Society of Goa) and ‘Planet Goya’.

‘Planet Goem’ is not only limited to entertainment but information about travel, tourism, food, events will be available. This app will definitely be beneficial for the locals as well as the tourists of Goa. ‘Planet Goem’ is the first Konkani app and along with content in English, Hindi, entertainment content in Konkani language and dubbed films in Marathi language will also be available on this app.

Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said about this app, “The initiative ‘Planet Goem’ implemented by Planet Marathi is highly commendable. Along with entertainment, many unknown tourist places in Goa, the history of Goa, its glorious tradition, temples will be available to us all at one place. In addition to the authentic traditional food culture, Planet Goem will provide all the information on where to enjoy modern food. So now tourism in Goa will be happy. Goa has very talented artists, this will give them a great platform. Besides, on this occasion, the youth of Goa will also get job opportunities. I am very thankful to Akshay Bardapurkar of Planet Marathi that he implemented this concept in our Goa.”

Akshay Bardapurkar, founder of Planet Marathi says, “Planet Marathi is not limited to Maharashtra but is making its debut in a different state. In partnership with Goa Government and ESG (Entertainment Society of Goa), we have brought a new concept for the locals and tourists of Goa. The reason for choosing the state of Goa is Goa’s rich tradition, tourism, food culture and most importantly the film festival held in Goa. People of Goa are art lovers. So, there are talented artists in Goa. We intend to bring at least one Konkani film or web series on this app every month and ninety percent of the platform will be for Goans. Instead of going to Goa and searching for something, all information will be available at one place on this app.”
