The Censor Board of Film Certification is getting backlash already for certifying the film PM NARENDRA MODI. Now the opposition party MNS has come up with a question and have demanded the stepping down of Prasoon Joshi as the Chairperson of the Board. The party has issued a notice stating their take and they are expecting answers. Here is all you need to know.

MNS Chitrapat wing demands that Prasoon Joshi should give an immediate resignation and step down from his position for the partiality displayed in the certification of the said film.  According to the MNS Chitrapat wing notice, a film is supposed to be submitted to the censor board 58 days prior to its release, for the certification. Any film that doesn’t follow the time frame may not be considered. After this rule was implimented, many films have been criticized for not following the parameter. But, as the notice says, the film based on our current PM Narendra Modi was wrapped up on March 22, and the certification board has approved the film and has already passed it, thus diluting their own rule. In this case, they are questioning about why the bend in the rules, and how was the film even taken under consideration at such short notice. The notice reads, “We are against the board who has gone out of their way to certify the Modi biopic in this election season”. The notice is issued by MNS Chitrapat wing leader Amey Khopkar.

The film which had initially declared a release date of April 5, is now postponed to April 11. Directed by Omung Kumar, the film has already fallen into way too many controversies, and the allegations of it being a propaganda film are still making headlines.
