Vivekanand Oberoi wrapped up the PM Narendra Modi biopic is no time. After announcing the movie earlier this year, the team blasted through three schedules and completed the movie. And while the movie was initially slated to release on April 12, it has been preponed to April 5. However, even though they have just 16 days in their hand, PM Narendra Modi is not yet certified. In fact, our source told us exclusively that it hasn’t even been sent for certification yet. Shocking, isn’t it? Generally makers send their film a month or minimum 20 days prior to its release.
However, currently the trailer of Vivekanand Oberoi’s film is being certified. A senior official at the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certication) revealed to us exclusively that the producers of the film have yet to apply for censor. As he mentioned, “We haven’t received PM Narendra Modi film for certification yet.” When quizzed if the censor board has to get clearance from the election commission before the clearance of political films, we got a surprising response. The official revealed, “There is no such rule at all. The producer only has to follow due process for certification.” What do you have to say about these revelations? Meanwhile, the Omung Kumar directorial is all set to launch it’s trailer today. Starring Vivekanand Oberoi, Boman Irani and a couple of other actors, PM Narendra Modi is a biopic, revolving around the whole life of the current Indian Prime Minister. Meanwhile, with the censor certification still to start, we wonder how the movie will release on April 5. Well, your guess is as good as ours.
