Pooja Bedi had gotten many eyebrows raised when she made a bold statement about her father Kabir Bedi’s wife Parveen Dusanj. In a tweet, she said, “Ever fairy tale has a wicked witch or an evil step-mother! Mine just arrived! @KabirBedi just married @parveendusanj.” Pooja had tweeted this because she was upset with her father for marrying a girl in 2017, who is 4 years younger to Pooja as well. Since then, things have not been cordial between them but in 2018 Pooja’s daughter Alaia did something really adorable.
In an interview, Pooja revealed how her dearest daughter, Alaia Furniturewala, managed to bridge the gap between the father-daughter. Back in December 2018, Alaia convinced her mother to invite Kabir for her 21st birthday bash. That’s where the two finally buried the hatchet.
Pooja shared, “My father and I had issues in 2012. However, I have never allowed that to interfere in my kids’ relationship with him or Parveen. I have kept an open heart and an open channel. Since a few months, my father and I have been meeting and getting closer and rebuilding our bond. The Bedi bond has always been strong. We were extremely tight-knit and will very soon be again. We have loved each other a lifetime, barring a little hiccup in between.” The actress even spoke about how her father called for her about the #MenToo campaign and was very proud of her.
Professionally, Alaia will soon make her Bollywood debut with Saif Ali Khan’s Jawani Janeman. The film will mark Nitin Kakkar’s directorial venture. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such updates from the world of Bollywood
