Jaina ShahActress Priyanka Chopra Jonas has often shown her desire to play Maa Anand Sheela, who is a very controversial personality and an aide of dharam-guru Osho aka Bhagwaan Rajneesh. Earlier, she had revealed that the script was underway and she would be producing the movie, however, there has been a delay in the process.
Reportedly, the writers have not yet finalized the script and are looking for most interesting aspect from her life to include in the movie. The reason behind this is that abundant shows are already being made on the famous personality’s life. Shows like Wild Wild Country on an online streaming platform Netflix has given a lot of details about Osho and Maa Anand Sheela and it has gained a lot of popularity among fans. Thus, the filmmakers are trying their best to bring out a unique and interesting script.
Besides Priyanka, Aamir Khan has also expressed his interest in developing a series on Osho’s life where he was considering casting Alia Bhatt as Maa Anand Sheela. However, there have been no updates on the same.
Currently, PeeCee has finished shooting for Shonali Bose’s The Sky is Pink, which also stars actors like Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf. The movie has been slated to release on October 11, this year. For more Bollywood news and updates, stay tuned with CineBlitz.
