While Priyanka Chopra Jonas is charming everyone with her personality and her work in Hollywood, it looks like she has landed herself in some trouble. For those who’re unaware, among the many feathers in her cap, Priyanka is also a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF. She has travelled to numerous rural places across the globe to educate children and support them on behalf of UNICEF. She has been very vocal about it in her interviews and she also talks about her experiences and how happy she feels to be a goodwill ambassador. However, this time she is in trouble with them as she’s upset some netizens with her tweet.

The global actress recently tweeted about the last week’s tension between India and Pakistan. She wrote on Twitter, “Jai Hind #IndianArmedForces” on the same day when Indian fighter jets entered Pakistan’s airspace. This led to netizens believing that she was taking sides instead of being neutral. Hence, an online petition was filed from Pakistan, demanding Priyanka’s removal from her post as she picked sides. The petition reads, “War between two nuclear powers can only lead to destruction & death. As goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, Priyanka Chopra was supposed to stay neutral and peaceful… She doesn’t deserve this title anymore (sic).” As per the online petition, Priyanka should be removed from her position by UNICEF. As of now, there is no official comment from the UNICEF on the same. Even the actress is being mature about the whole situation and hasn’t reacted to the petition. However, we still don’t know if UNICEF will be taking the petition seriously or not.

In other news, the newlywed couple Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas are spending time together in India. They recently flew down for her brother’s Roka ceremony. From time to time, Priyanka has spoken about the issues that she felt she could support and that is also one of her qualities which her fans admire. On the work front, the actress was last seen in the Hollywood film Isn’t It Romantic and back home she will next be seen in The Sky Is Pink, which is Shonali Bose’s directorial debut.
