Priyanka Chopra Jonas to produce a Universal studio film, read details

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is achieving new milestone every few days. Today, the actress made another big announcement. Priyanka with Mindy Kaling is all set to collaborate for a film; the rights of the film were won in the auction by Universal studio as reported by the foreign media. Read on to know more about the project and what Priyanka has to say about the same.

Today, on Instagram Priyanka announced her collaboration with the co-creator of the well-known television series Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Mindy. On April 12, a foreign leading daily reported that in an auction the Universal studio won the rights to an untitled comedy which was pitched by Mindy, Priyanka, and Dan Goor. The project is based on a big fat Indian wedding that clashes with American culture. The film will be co-produced by Priyanka, Mindy and Dan and news is that Mindy can also direct the project. Mindy and Priyanka will also be acting in the film. While announcing the same, Priyanka wrote, “Two women with a passion for telling good stories, just got the green light to THEIR story THEIR way. So proud of this incredible partnership with @mindykaling and #dangoor! We are about to show you what it means to be modern, global, and Indian. See you at the cinema!” Considering that the film is based on an Indian wedding, chances are that the crew might shoot in India.

She was last seen in a Netflix original film Isn’t it Romantic? In India, Priyanka will be next seen in The Sky Is Pink, directed by Shonali Bose, the film also stars Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim alongside Peecee.
