Pulwama latest news: Navjot Singh Sidhu banned by IFTDA; won’t even be allowed to enter Film City

Navjot Singh Sidhu gets into more trouble post his remarks on the Pulwama attack

Navjot Singh Sidhu has been in hot waters ever since he made insensitive comments over the Pulwama terror attacks. First, he was sacked by Sony Entertainment TV from The Kapil Sharma Show as his unsavoury comments had left everyone fuming on social media. Then Sidhu faced protest inside the Punjab Assembly and the situation was so bad that the assembly members burnt his photos and the opposition even demanded his resignation. And as if all this wasn’t enough, now IFTDA has passed a resolution to not work with Sidhu again.

The Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) has released an official statement on the same wherein they have also slammed the cricketer-turned-politician quite strongly for his remarks. Though Sidhu recently tried to justify his comments, looks like nothing is going to help him at the moment. Getting banned by IFTDA is indeed a big blow and now we are wondering what will be Sidhu’s next step professionally as things are going to be very tough for him henceforth. Also, as per latest updates, Navjot Singh Sidhu has been banned from entering the premises of Mumbai’s Film City too.

This action was taken by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees on Thursday. Well, all we can say is that Sidhu should have been very careful before commenting on the terrorist attack. But it’s too late. Anyway, the remark that has got him so much flak was, “For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual?” The former cricketer said this after more than 40 CPRF jawans were killed in a deadly terrorist attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.
