Pulwama news: Amitabh Bachchan to donate money to the families of the martyred CRPF families

While the entire nation is still mourning the death of all the CRPF jawans who lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack, Amitabh Bachchan is doing something concrete to help the suffering families. The megastar is donating Rs 5 lakh each to 50 families of the martyred jawans. This means Big B, in total, would be contributing Rs 2.50 crore. Isn’t that great? Knowing the severity of the attack, a lot of soldiers were badly injured as well. So let’s hope more celebs come forward and contribute for the same as well.

Coming back to Amitabh Bachchan, just a while back a Twitter user wrote on the popular micro blogging site, “Amitabh Bachchan will be donating Rs 5 lakh to each family of the 40 martyrs who sacrificed their lives for India, the total amounting to Rs 2 crore.” To this, the Pink actor replied, “the number of the martyr has gone up to 49. I am contributing for now 50. That’s 2.5 crore.” While Big B has already decided how he wants to help, the 76-year-old is trying to find a way through which he can send the money where it’s needed. He wants the amount to directly reach the families and hence is busy figuring out the process.

The terrorist attack, which took place on February 14, has angered a lot of celebs from the B-town. Even Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter and condemned the cowardly act which took place in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. Other celebs like Salman Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Kajol, Arjun Kapoor and many more also expressed their grief and offered condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers on social media.
