The terrorist attack in Pulwama, which took place yesterday (February 14), badly shook the entire nation with its gravity. As soon as the news broke, everyone from politicians to celebrities took to social media and condemned the cowardly act. Former cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu also addressed the issue outside Punjab assembly while talking to the media. Commenting on the attack, he said, “For a handful of people, can you blame an entire nation and can you blame an individual?” Sidhu further added, “It is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished.”

However, the 55-year-old’s comment didn’t go down well many and as a result a lot of people started trolling Sidhu on social media. But it didn’t stop there. The trollers even dragged ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ in the controversy as Navjot Singh Sidhu is currently part of it. In fact, his comments have infuriated people so much that they want him out of the comedy show which is hosted by Kapil Sharma. And if that doesn’t happen then Twitteraties will directly boycott the popular show itself. Yes, that’s how ugly the situation has turned. Considering the fact that Kapil Sharma is back on the small screen after hitting a rough patch, this controversy is definitely not good for his show. As for Navjot Singh Sidhu, let’s hope he does some damage control before it’s too late.

On February 14, more than 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives in the terror attack which took place in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. Soon Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media and assured everyone that a befitting reply would be given to the terrorist for their cowardly attack.
