Rahul Dev: “It’s been a pleasure to share screen space with Suniel Shetty in Hunter”

Amazon miniTV – Amazon’s free online streaming service hit all the right notes with the recently released series – Hunter – Tootega Nahi Todega by bringing back the legendary star, Suniel Shetty in an action avatar. Along with the action hero, Rahul Dev plays the character of ‘Inspector Hooda’ in the intensely unsettling nail-biter thriller and his performance as always has been loved by the audience.

Rahul Dev’s desire to play Inspector Hooda to the best of his ability has been inspired by Anna’s presence in the action scene. “It’s been a pleasure to share screen space with Anna in Hunter, alongside Esha, Barkha, Karanvir, and the rest of the cast members. I found him involved in all aspects, the energy he brought to the set was infectious. Naturally it had a positive rub off on every actor, technician and person involved in the making of this show. The love I have for him at times, came in the way to motivate myself to be up against him as Hooda. The motivation to do my best for Hooda came from the fact that the show was a return to the movies for my kind and likeable senior.”

Reminiscing his films as a debut actor and identifying the roles he most genuinely liked playing, Rahul Dev further said, “For all actors their first films are very special. I enjoyed playing ‘Mast Gul’ in the late Mukul Anand’s magnum opus ‘Dus’, and enjoyed ‘Nazir’ in ‘Champion’, a role which turned out to be my debut as ‘Dus.’ I enjoyed Senapati Bhim in Santosh Sivan’s ‘Asoka.’ I also enjoyed being directed by Mr. Rajamouli in ‘Simhadri’ in Telugu because of the challenge of speaking the language.”

Suniel Shetty, Esha Deol, and Rahul Dev play the lead characters in Hunter – Tootega Nahi Todega, which also stars Barkha Bisht, Karanvir Sharma, Mihir Ahuja, Teena Singh, Chahat Tejwani, Siddharth Kher, Gargi Sawant, Smita Jayakar, and Pawan Chopra in intriguing roles.
