Ram Gopal Varma to make his acting debut and Amitabh Bachchan is worried about more ‘competition!’

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who is known for making thrilling stories, has added another feather to his already crowded hat. On Sunday, the Satya director who turned a year older took to his social media and announced the news about his acting debut. The filmmaker wrote on the popular micro-blogging site Twitter, “Ahem! On the occasion of my birthday today, I am debuting as an actor for the first time in my career..I wouldn’t mind if u don’t bless me..Thanks.” Along with the tweet, he also shared the poster of his film.

After Varma declared the good news, Amitabh Bachchan took to social media and congratulated the talented director-producer. Big B, who has worked with Ram Gopal Varma in quite a few films and is also a dear friend, wrote on Twitter, “T 3136 – FINALLY .. !! Ram Gopal Varma .. the ‘SARKAR’ finds his true vocation .. ACTING!! All the best Sircaarrrrr ..DAMN .. another competition.” Talking about the poster, RGV is seen holding a gun and has a very serious look on his face. The film will revolve around the life of a criminal and Varma is essaying the role of an intelligence officer named R. The director, who is known for making controversial films, will now be seen on the other side of the camera and it will be fun to see how he aces this role. Check out the post right here:

Apart from making his acting debut, RGV will also direct the film along with Agasthya Manju. The two earlier worked together on Lakshmi’s film NTR which sadly tanked at the box office. As for Cobra, it will also feature KG and Ranga Rao in pivotal roles. The film will roll out in Hindi and Telugu but the makers are yet to announce the release date.
