Ranveer Singh with his latest Gully Boy has once again proven his acting prowess. The young star had earlier given the blockbuster Simmba and before that another hit, Padmaavat. But in the upcoming sports biopic 83, the actor is more elated about teaming up with another actor for whom he has immense respect. And this actor is the much-celebrated Mirzapur star Pankaj Tripathi. Pankaj is at present winning more fans with his big screen outing in Luka Chuppi. He will soon be seen playing Ranveer’s coach in the Kabir Khan film that revolves around India’s historic win of the 1983 cricket World Cup at Lords, England.

In an exclusive chat with CineBlitz, we asked Ranveer about Pankaj revealing that he had signed on 83 only for him and the star says, “For Pankaj Tripathi to say that I was one of the main reasons for him to sign the film is immense. He is such an amazing actor. I have seen GurgaonNewton and Mirzapur. He is such a fine actor, one of the finest I think we have. I am going to learn a lot from him.” The two have reportedly started the prep work for the biopic already in which Ranveer plays Kapil Dev on screen.

Ranveer further added, “I think we are going to have a special chemistry. I can feel the love whenever I meet him. It is a very warm equation both of us are very keen to collaborate. We did Gunday, but didn’t have much work together. In 83 we have a lovely track between his character and mine. I am looking forward to it and I’m sure it will be a memorable learning experience for me collaborating with Pankaj Sir.” Meanwhile, we have learnt that Ranveer has been training extensively to get the pace and technique right as a cricketer.
