Speaking about how he landed into the role Ravi says, “Back in 2016, Yashpal bhai and I were returning home from my first Assamese film, Bahnimaan’s premiere where Yashpal Bhai played a negative lead in that film. At that time, he mentioned to me that he will be making a biopic on Dada Lakhmi. And he had straightaway offered me to be a part of the film. I have done 3 films with Yashpal Sharma, he is a great and supportive co-actor but as a Director I felt he was more creative, and his vision inspired me a lot.”

Sharing on his role he tells, “I am playing “Pundit Mange Ram” who was well-known and a very famous folk singer. Mange Ram had a very different aura about him. Pundit Mange Ram was very close to Dada Lakhmi and was also a disciple at the same time. You feel satisfied as an artist of a National Award-Winning Film and what’s even more important is that this award gives us much more responsibility to put in lots of efforts to make an even better film.”

Giving insights about part 2 Ravi states, “In part 2, the audience will see Dada Lakhmi as a singer & a visionary. And people will get to know why he’s known as Harynavi’s Shakespeare. My major part will come in part 2 when people will see “Pundit Mange Ram’s” chemistry with Dada Lakhmi and their long journey with lots of ups and downs.”

Recalling his working experience in the film he tells “Working in Dada Lakhmi is very special and very close to my heart because I hail from a village known as Daultabad, Haryana and as a child, I’ve been born and raised in Daultabad so the language and it’s culture is something that I know very well. For the first time, in a career span of 12 years, I got an opportunity to work with people from my state and that brings a different kind of joy to me as an actor.”
