Choreographer-turned-filmmaker Remo D’Souza, who is currently shooting for his upcoming dance film Street Dancer 3D starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, has a new venture up his sleeve. The filmmaker is set to enter the hospitality business by opening his own restaurant in Mumbai’s suburbs.

In an exclusive chat with CineBlitz, the filmmaker revealed that the name of the restaurant will be ‘Ministry of Dance’. Talking about it, the filmmaker told us that he has been inspired by his dad, who was a chef and this is his way of showing his love for him. Remo said, “It was my father’s dream to open a restaurant. He was an amazing chef and would even tease my mother how he was better than her in cooking. In fact, whatever cooking I know I learnt from him.”

The filmmaker also reveals that he would start the tasting process next week. It will be a fine-dining restaurant and will be located in Andheri. The restaurant is also slated to have a special dance platform, where new talent will be encouraged to perform, explaining the name. The venture would be handled by his wife Lizelle along with their partner Krunal Shah.

With the last shooting schedule of 20 days for his Varun Dhawan starrer to go, Remo is all set to balance the two fronts. Here’s wishing him all the best for his new venture. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more news and updates.
