Saand Ki Aankh poster: Taapsee Pannu – Bhumi Pednekar nail the aged-look

Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming production venture Saand Ki Aankh has been in the news ever since it was announced. And now that they have released their first poster of the film it looks even more exciting. The makers of the film had shared that the poster will be released today (April 16) and now that it is out, we must say it’s impressive. The film is based on the lives of Chandro and Prakashi Tomar – the country’s oldest women sharpshooters hailing from Uttar Pradesh – and the two lead actresses: Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar nail the look to perfection.

This film is a biopic which stars Taapsee and Bhumi. The makers had earlier shared a few glimpses from the making and the de-glam look of the characters, but now these posters are enhancing the curiosity. Looking at the poster we see that the two actresses sport the look of the two aged women sharpshooters sitting in a farm with their guns. Wearing white shirts and long lehengas they nail the look of Chandro and Prakashi. The quote on the poster reads: Tann buda hota hai, mann budha nai hota. Apart from the main poster, there is another poster which reads, they broke out of their cage, At 60 they rose above their age, with 700 medals they became a rage. This pretty much tells the story of the women sharpshooters.

The film is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Anurag Kashyap, Reliance Entertainment and Nidhi Parmar. Chandro, who is 87 years old, has won more than 30 national championships and Prakashi is second to her. The poster doesn’t reveal the exact release date of the film but it will be releasing this year during Diwali. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more updates on this front.
