After much wait, the makers of Sacred Games have finally released its trailer today. Sacred Games 2 brings Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Saif Ali Khan and Pankaj Tripathi’s characters back in the game and everyone is eager to know what will happen next. While we saw many of the favourite characters exiting the show in its first season, the team has introduced two new characters in the Season 2 to fill the void. Yes, Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey will be seen in the second season as the new additions.
While we think Kalki’s character named Batya will have a spiritual bend, Ranvir will be essaying the role of a cop named Shahid Khan. Sartaj Singh (Saif) will continue to solve the quest and find out how to stop Gaitonde’s evil plan. As expected, Nawazuddin’s character Gaitonde will be back in the story again. The connection between Gaitonde and Pankaj Tripathi’s character Guruji will also be shown as a still from the series shows Gaitonde sitting with Batya and Guruji. Another exciting still shows Kalki interacting with Saif’s character and we wonder what the storyline will be like. Check out the pictures right here:
The series is directed by Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan. Writers Varun Grover, Smita Singh and Vasant Nath have adapted Vikram Chandra’s book of the same name. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more news and updates.
