We had told you earlier how Saif Ali Khan, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh are coming together for the horror comedy Bhoot Police. Reports say that the film will be India’s first horror-comedy in 3D. To be directed by Pavan Kirpalani, the film is all set to bring together these three actors for the first time and it seems to be a fun ride.
With films like Go Goa Gone and Stree doing well, horror-comedies in Bollywood have been becoming a favourite genre of the filmmakers. According to the makers, the film is going to be a part of a franchise and will be the first Indian horror comedy to be in 3D. The storyline of the film is not out yet but the story deals with conmen, superstitions, and ghost hunting.
Bhoot Police is presented and produced by Fox Star Studios and is written by Pavan Kirpalani, Anuvab Pal, Sumit Batheja and Pooja Ladha Surti and directed by Pavan Kirpalani. Pavan is the same director who in the past has directed films like, Phobia and Ragini MMS. The film will go on floors this August. Last year’s hit horror comedy Stree has set the bar high for all the filmmakers and the challenge for team Bhoot Police is going to be higher. On the work front, Saif and Ali both have made their name over the digital space and are currently working on Sacred Games 2 and Mirzapur 2 respectively. Fatima was last seen in Thugs of Hindostan alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan. For more updates and gossip about Bollywood stay tuned to CineBlitz.
