Salman Khan’s Eid started on a very good note with the release of Bharat. The film hit the theatres today (June 5) and the fans cannot stop talking about how good the film is. Salman has once again emerged a hero among fans and won the hearts of the audience with his film. Before the release of the film today, the superstar in an exclusive interview with CineBlitz spoke about what Bharat means for him.

We asked what Bharat meant to him and this is what Salman had to say, “Bharat is the place I was born in and my parents were born in. It’s six generations who were born here. For me, if there is reincarnation, another lifetime then I would want to come back here. I would want to be born in India. This is what Bharat means to me.”

He went on to add, “Bharat is a level of love which you could call Ibaadat (worship). That is what Bharat means to me and that is why whatever I do, I do it for my country in my capacity with being human, with movies, with me speaking my heart out for or against, that is what Bharat is. And that’s not only for me but for everyone. So for us, religion, caste, creed is not important. We all are human beings and we all are Bharatis.”

The star continues, “If you have seen in our family, we all are from different believes and that is what we believe in that we all are human beings. Humans can be good or bad and that’s the only way I take this. We always want to be on the side of the good guys, we want to be the good guys and that is our mission. That will always be our mission and that should be everyone’s mission for us citizens.”

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Tabu, Jackie Shroff and Sunil Grover. Bharat is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Alvira Agnihotri, Atul Agnihotri, Krishan Kumar under the banners of T-Series, Reel Life Productions and Salman Khan Films.
