After receiving the tag of the “Surprise package in Bob Biswas”, Samara has now signed and completed the shoot for a Hotstar show. The show is a Thriller Drama directed by Mihir Desai with show runner Gurmeet Singh produced by Reliance Entertainment. Boman Irani will also be seen playing the role of Samara’s father in the show along with a well-known primary cast. Samaras Bollywood journey started five years ago when she started auditioning…She tested for ads, web, film, everything. But nothing clicked.

In January 2020, Samara was called for an audition to Mukesh Chhabra’s office. Little did she know from auditioning to script to flying out for the shoot was a five day whirlwind. It was the first 15 pages of the script that held her even though she was nowhere in them. She owes her assent to the masterful writing of Sujoy Ghosh. Sharing screen space with Abhishek Bachchan overwhelmed her, and his warmth and guidance gave her the confidence to perform with ease.

Chitrangada Singh was a loving and affectionate co actor to have on her first film. Sujoy was the mentor she needed and he pushed Diya and Samara to do their best. The star of the film is Diya, she executed the film with the ease of an accomplished director. The entire team of Bob Biswas made Samara feel like she had been doing this all her life and she is eternally grateful for that.

Before all of this, she worked as an Assistant Director. She worked on IIFA as an Artist Manager in 2014 at the age of 17, and moved on to AD on Rohit Dhawan’s Dishoom. Next was Bhoot Part 1 – The Haunted Ship, with Dharma Productions. She AD’d on it and simultaneously auditioned for everything she was called for.

The last thing she’d thought of was getting to be a part of her dream genre, a crime thriller, and working with such accomplished and experienced actors. It’s basically a dream come true. Look out for Samara in her show on Hotstar which is scheduled to be on air in a couple of months.
