Is Sanjay Dutt’s Munna Bhai 3 still on the cards? The Kalank star makes a surprising revelation!

Sanjay Dutt’s Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003) and Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006) were two of his best and most entertaining films till date. A third part, Munnabhai Chale America was announced, however it never took off. Sanjay Dutt’s jail term came in and the movie was put on the back-burner. Fan were disappointed and thought another movie in the hit franchise would never be made. However, with Dutt finally out after serving his whole term, there was renewed hope amongst fans. In fact, apart from the actor, director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, had also mentioned that Munna Bhai 3 is in the making. But the talk has been going on since two years now, and there has been no update. So is it still on the cards? Or has it been shelved? Well, the Kalank star made a surprising revelation.

With the #MeToo allegations on Raju Hirani, people again felt Munnabhai 3 might not happen. But what inside info does Sanjay Dutt have about his popular franchise? Well, the actor is as clueless as we are. As he revealed during an interview, “I don’t have any idea about what is happening with Munna Bhai 3. When I last met Raju, he said it is happening 110 per cent. Vinodji (Vidhu Vinod Chopra) also said that. But I think they will make it when the time is right and the script is ready.”

The fact that he said that they will make it when the script is ready, does give us some hope. We love the Munna Bhai franchise, so does everyone around the world.
