Sara Ali Khan to star opposite Varun Dhawan in Rannbhoomi?

Varun Dhawan starrer Rannbhoomi was announced late last year and the film has been creating a buzz for a while now. While Varun will be playing the lead was revealed with the film’s announcement, the female lead, however, was a mystery. Of course, many heroines were considered. But it turns out that Sara Ali Khan made the cut and will star opposite Dhawan in the upcoming film.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Rannbhoomi is based on a warrior’s life, according to the announcement tweet from the makers. Three actresses were considered to play the female lead opposite Varun – Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. And now we know that Sara has bagged the role. Older reports suggest that the film is set to release in Diwali 2020.

Sara is also working on an untitled Imtiaz Ali film, which is said to be a sequel to Love Aaj Kal, alongside Kartik Aaryan. The pair recently wrapped their first schedule for the same. For more updates and gossip, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
