Shreyas Talpade and Aftab Shivdasani are bringing an unusual thriller to the big screen in the form of Setters. The film is basically about the cheating scam that’s taken the education system by storm. In Setters, Aftab essays the role of a police officer who tries to bust the mafia gang that’s behind the cheating scam. As of Shreyas, he plays the bad boy in the film.

In an exclusive conversation with us, Aftab revealed how he prepared for his role. He said. “I went through a fair bit of mental preparation for this role. It wasn’t an easy part, and people’s perception about me has been like this one guy who does comedy. Suddenly to do something like this needed me to get into that zone because he gets into the minds of people. He is the SIT chief who has been entrusted this job to catch these guys. I interacted with a lot of IPS officers in Delhi who sat with me for hours. They exchanged a lot of classified information as to how they go about executing their plans to catch these people. It was shocking and enriching at the same time. I tried to copy their body languages and what goes on in their head. There are guys who are working round the clock to make sure that you and I are safe. That was interesting.”

The film also stars Sonnalli Seygall and Ishita Dutta in pivotal roles. Produced by Lovely Film Productions and NH Studioz LLP, it is slated to release next month. For more interesting updates, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
