Jaina ShahLiving Legends with Komal Nahta was organised yesterday (July 23) by Shemaroo Entertainment to pay tribute to the Golden Era of Hindi cinema. Many Bollywood icons including Javed Akhtar, Jeetendra, Pyarelal Ji, Ameen Sayani were seen walking the Golden Carpet.
At the end of the event, organizers offered Bhagvad Gita and Quran to the celebrities. And when Javed Akhtar was offered the Holy Quran he refused to take it and requested the organizers to gift him the Bhagvad Gita as it was being offered to other personalities as well. Later, his wife and actress Shabana Azmi also followed suit and took the Bhagvad Gita. True examples of secularism, aren’t they?
The event marked a starry evening filled with nostalgia, memories and discussion about future of Bollywood with all the prominent stars. Other legends who graced the event included Prem Chopra, Jaya Prada, Bindu, Poonam Dhillon and Kamini Kaushal. For more Bollywood news and updates, stay tuned to CineBlitz
