With the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, all eyes are on our B-Town stars to see who of them are being wooed by which political party. At times like these it’s easy to put two and two together. And that’s what happened when superstar Shah Rukh Khan met this politician while in Kolkata. So, SRK who was in Kolkata for the ongoing IPL series where his team Kolkata Knight Riders recently emerged victorious in their first match, decided to meet the West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. However, let us tell you that it was not for any campaigning.
We know that the relationship between superstar Shah Rukh Khan and the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee goes way back in time. He had even visited Mamata during the promotions of his film Happy New Year, along with his team. There were pictures of Mamata dropping SRK back to the airport. Now, isn’t that such a sweet gesture? Apart from that, SRK was tied a rakhi on Raksha Bandhan by Mamata Didi which shows that they have a close relationship like siblings. It looks like the star paid her a visit after quite some time…
In the pictures, we get to see SRK in black pants and a t-shirt, sporting the simple but sassy look. Donning glasses, as he walked by, he addressed the people with a warm Namaste. SRK’s fans in West Bengal would be really happy to see him in their city. We have heard of Shah Rukh always giving a warm welcome to his guests and when he is in Bengal, people in the city treat him with an equal amount of love. He is also the ambassador of West Bengal which brings him to the city often.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan’s last film Zero didn’t do well at the box office though his production venture Badla is getting appreciation from everyone. The film even earned well at the box office. Shah Rukh is also the owner of IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders and as the IPL season is on, we are likely to see him often in the stands.
