Henna BrarAmerican DJ, Marshmello is touring India and is all set to perform at the VH1 Supersonic Festival in Pune this weekend. The superstar DJ had a little surprise treat for all his fans when he released his new video for his first Bollywood endeavour ‘Biba’. The whole music video is a tribute to the King of Bollywood – Shah Rukh Khan, who cameos throughout the video to relive some of his most iconic film moments that are so etched in our memories.
Co-composed by Bollywood music producer Pritam and also sung by singer Shirley Sethia, ‘Biba’ takes us down memory lane with moves and choreography that invokes the song Dola Re Dola from the iconic Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie Devdas, which was picturised on beauties Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Some other iconic moments depicted through the video were the basketball scene from SRK’s Karan Johar hit Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, that had Kajol and Rani Mukherji star opposite the King Khan. The unforgettable train segment from Dil Se is also seen through the roll, whilst the entire time Marshmello has his mask on and is present in the background.
Pritam is seen making a cameo on the red carpet, and before the clip is over, King Khan removes his mask to great applause. If you’re a fan of the Bollywood universe, you’re going to get a real kick out of this one. Speaking about Biba and his love for India, Marshmello told another tabloid, “India is so special to me. This is my third time here and I love it more each time I come back. That’s why I wanted to make this trip even more special and give my fans here their own anthem. It was great to work with Pritam over the last few months and give the Mellogang Biba.” Leave your comments below!
