Shah Rukh Khan puts Don 3 on hold? Find Out!

Ever since Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero tanked at the box office, there’s been a flutter in the market with talks of which film will the superstar sign as his next. First came news that SRK has opted out of the Rakesh Sharma biopic Saare Jahaan Se Achcha. Now most recently we exclusively told you how he will be doing South director Atlee’s Vijay’s Thalapathy 63. It was later confirmed that he will be playing a negative role in the film and while crucial, it will be a short role needing barely two weeks of his time. That besides, there were talks of him turning down yet another remake of a South film – Siva-directed Viswasam that originally starred Ajith. But all through this, there was an assuredness that he will be reprising his role in the third installment of Farhan Akhtar’s superhit Don franchise, Don 3.

However, there’s bad news for the fans. Looks like this project too may be put on hold for now. Buzz is that while the film is already in pre-production stages, SRK is apparently not too keen on the film for now. In fact buzz even suggests that he may have already put the film on hold indefinitely. According to insiders, Shah Rukh is now taking it easy and looking at working with directors that he hasn’t worked with. And high on this list is the acclaimed Andhadhun filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, to whom he has given a blanket okay for a film. While the script is not finalised, Sriram is said to be working out a project for SRK.

Besides, insiders reveal that Shah Rukh has also met several other directors both from South film industry as well as from Bollywood. He also met the National Award-winning director Madhur Bhandarkar, although he has not signed a film with him. Well, while the superstar is in no rush to sign his next, his fans are continuing to get more eager to see him rock the big screen once again. What do you have to say about these developments?
