Shah Rukh Khan reveals first look of Amitabh Bachchan – Taapsee Pannu starrer Badla

Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan are reuniting on the big screen once again. The duo were last seen together in Shoojit Sircar’s highly-acclaimed Pink (2016) directed by Aniruddha Roy Chawdhury. And this time too, the two stars are coming together for a thriller that is clearly not run-of-the-mill! Directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Gauri Khan, the film is said to be a remake of the 2016 Spanish film Contratiempo (The Invisible Guest). And tweeting the first look of the film was Shah Rukh Khan.

Late last night (February 10) Shah Rukh Khan took to the social media to announce the film with an intriguing and a rather cheeky tweet. He tweeted, “Main aap se Badla lene aa raha hoon @SrBachchan saab! Taiyaar rahiyega…” The actor then went on and tweeted the first look of the film and announced the trailer launch scheduled for today (February 11). The two posters – one with Amitabh Bachchan and the other with Taapsee Pannu – reveal the grim mood of the thriller and give a glimpse of what the audience can expect. The actor tweeted, “Ab mahaul kuch Badla Badla sa lag raha hai. Here’s the first look of Badla featuring @SrBachchan and @taapsee ! Directed by @sujoy_g. #BadlaTrailerTomorrow @gaurikhan @SunirKheterpal @PuriAkshai @_GauravVerma @RedChilliesEnt@iAmAzure”. Sujoy himself has come to be associated with thrillers and is known for his deft-handling of the films in the genre. The filmmaker had last helmed the Vidya Balan-starrer Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh (2016) in Bollywood.

Meanwhile, the industry is excited to see the powerhouse performer Taapsee team up with the superstar Bachchan once again. The duo had garnered much critical-acclaim for their performances in Pink and all eyes are now naturally riveted on the pair to see what they have to present this time around. The plot of the crime thriller is already sounding interesting and it will be exciting to see it being given the desi touch by Sujoy. The film is slated to release on March 8.
