Rahul Dev’s father Hari Dev passed away almost a week ago and the former had only good things to say about his late brave dad. The talented actor took to Twitter last night and wrote about the demise of his loving father. Along with a picture, he tweeted, “Will miss you Papa…He left us five days ago, a brilliant innings of 91 … Most cherished moment with him at a robust ninety. Decorated police officer & the recipient of the coveted Gallantry Award. A simple, kind & free spirited soul. Blessed to be his son.”
From tinsel town, superstar Shah Rukh Khan was the first one to offer his condolences as he tweeted, “May Allah bless his soul. In school we use to hear all his stories of bravery and be inspired.” Nimrat Kaur, who was last seen in Airlift, also wrote on Twitter, “Was so wonderful hearing his stories from you so lovingly @RahulDevRising . Deeply sorry for your loss…may he drive on into his next phase with all the glory he lived with. All my love and warmest condolences Rahul.”

For those unaware, Rahul’s father joined the Delhi Police as an Upper Subordinate in 1950 and retired as an ACP. He was also the one who busted the intelligence operation that was going on during the Bangladesh liberation. We at CineBlitz offer our sincere condolences to Rahul Dev and his family.
