Disney’s The Lion King released in India on July 19. And in its first weekend, the film has done really well! Not only have the people loved the movie, but The Lion King has also raked in a massive Rs 54.75 crore at the box office. In fact, the Hindi version, which has been dubbed by Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan, has performed incredibly well too. So to cap off the success, Disney released a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video today (July 22). Featuring Shah Rukh Khan, the video shows us how the superstar brought Mufasa’s character to life. But that’s not it! SRK even told us how he and his son, Aryan bonded over the film!

Talking about the film and how it gives out an important message, Shah Rukh Khan said, “The Lion King was very special. To love a film which shows the bond between a father and a son like this, at least I haven’t seen any, so that was special. Somewhere down the line, the story reflects that it’s nicer to listen to your parents and understand the deeper meaning of what they are saying to you and enjoy with them till the time lasts.”

Shah Rukh and Aryan Khan had dubbed for The Incredibles as well, but The Lion King was special. As SRK adds, “When we did The Incredibles, Aryan was about 9 years old, so it was very sweet to hear his voice. And even now, years later when we are doing it for The Lion King, for me it is an amazing bonding time with Aryan.” Sweet, isn’t it? What’s your take on the movie?
