Director-Producer Shekhar Kapur has raised his voice for a new cause which is not related to the industry, but to the world as whole. With wireless technology taking centre stage in our daily lives, and the announcement of introducing 5G technology amongst people, this issue raised by Shekhar needs to be discussed.

With the increase in the rate of people suffering from various fatal diseases including diabetes, heart issues  and cancer the most, there is a theory and a credible one that says that wireless technology is one of the prime reasons for the rampant growth in the number of patients. Shekhar today took to his Twitter handle to share an eye-opening video which features Dr. Sharon Goldberg, an internal medicine physician and professor, giving her testimony regarding 5G technology dangers, specifically involving electromagnetic radiation. His tweet said, “Clear evidence that radiation from cell phone towers is already causing diabetes, heart issue and brain cancers Veteran MD Drops Bombshell About 5G Technology Dangers At 5G Hearing https://youtu.be/1Qt5B39LB7c  via @YouTube”. Sharon begins the testimony by saying “Wireless radiation has biological effects. Period”, and goes on explaining them, justifying her stand. She points out the distance of cell phone towers from residential areas, which plays with our blood glucose levels. She also talks about how lab rats during the diabetes experiment are introduced to minimum amount of electromagnetic radiations to fluctuate their glucose level, and then compares it to how we are living with high radiation around us. This testimony was made at the hearing on the case against introducing 5G technology.

With Shekhar bringing up such an important issue, we hope that it gets noticed by the masses and gets the needed attention. We are living in a world where health comes somewhere at the bottom of our list of priorities, so this is an important movement to gain knowledge on and discuss. Someone pointing it out may not bring a big change, but it surely can be the beginning of a societal dialogue on the same. Kudos to Shekhar Kapur.
